Join a global leader in the engineering and mining sector as a Financial Manager based in Alberton. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a dynamic financial team, oversee complex financial operations, and contribute to strategic decision-making. Your expertise in SAGE 300 ERP and experience in a project-driven environment will be critical to your success.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead and manage the finance department, consisting of five team members.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to support growth and profitability.
• Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Manage VAT, TAX submissions, payroll processes, and compliance.
• Collaborate across departments to align financial objectives with business strategy.
• Handle risk management, including forex, forward cover contracts, and financial instruments.
• Ensure accuracy in financial records and oversee audits, consolidated financials, and monthly closures.
• Provide strategic financial insights to senior management to inform decision-making.
SOFTSKILLS/ADDITIONAL INFO:
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Professional certification - CA(SA)/SAIPA/CIMA preferable
• Minimum of 5 years in a Financial Management role
• Proven team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of SAGE 300 ERP and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience in a projects-focused environment is mandatory.
R100 000 – R120 000 CTC p/m
