Hire Resolve is excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Buyer specializing in Procurement to join our esteemed client's team located in Midrand. This position is critical for overseeing procurement processes, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring that the organization secures the best value for products and services.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives.
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers while negotiating contracts for optimal pricing and terms.
- Manage supplier performance to ensure quality and delivery timelines are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast purchasing needs and support inventory management.
- Analyze market trends and industry developments to identify new sourcing opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and ethical standards.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior procurement staff.
- Prepare and present procurement reports to management as needed.
Requirements
- 7 to 10 years experience in Buying, Supervision, Construction, Civil, Building, and Roads
- Buildsmart, CCS
- Supervision of buying team
- Procurement / Buying qualification
- Self-starter, independent, team player
- Proactive, dedicated, takes initiative, out-of-the-box thinker
