RPO Recruitment's client are looking for an experienced Buyer to join their Food and Beverage team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and beverage, strong negotiation skills, and experience working in a fast-paced purchasing environment. This role will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing food and beverage products for our business.

RPO Recruitment's client are looking for an experienced Buyer to join their Food and Beverage team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and beverage, strong negotiation skills, and experience working in a fast-paced purchasing environment. This role will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing food and beverage products for our business.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and source new suppliers for food and beverage products
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure the best value for the company
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable and consistent supply of products
- Monitor market trends and developments in the food and beverage industry to make strategic purchasing decisions
- Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to understand their needs and develop purchasing plans accordingly
- Manage inventory levels to ensure that we have an appropriate stock of products at all times
- Analyze and report on key performance indicators related to purchasing activities
- 3+ years of buying experience in the food and beverage industry
- Strong negotiation skills and experience working with suppliers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Knowledge of food and beverage products and market trends
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
