Food Technologist (Meat) - Food Manufacturing

RPO Recruitment, a reputable recruitment agency, is currently seeking a skilled Food Technologist specialized in meat products to join our client's team in the food manufacturing sector. As a Food Technologist focused on meat products, you will play a vital role in product development, quality control, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop new meat-based food products, improve existing recipes, and conduct sensory evaluations specifically related to meat products. You will be responsible for managing quality control processes specific to meat products, conducting laboratory tests, and analyzing data to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality for meat-based food items.

Responsibilities

• Develop new meat-based food product formulations in line with client requirements
• Improve and optimize existing meat product recipes for taste, texture, and nutritional content
• Conduct sensory evaluations specifically related to meat products to assess product quality and consumer acceptability
• Manage quality control processes specifically designed for meat products, including testing raw materials and finished products
• Analyze data and create reports focused on meat product performance and quality trends
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes in food science and technology, with a specific emphasis on meat-based products
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, and Operations, on meat product development and quality control initiatives

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field
• Prior experience in product development and quality control within the food manufacturing industry, with a specific focus on meat products
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control systems in relation to meat-based products
• Proficiency in conducting laboratory tests and analyzing data, specifically for meat-based products
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with a focus on addressing challenges related to meat products
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, particularly when working with meat products
• Passion for innovation and continuous improvement within the food manufacturing industry, specifically focusing on meat products
