Granite Stonemasonry Manufacturing Factory Manager (Johannesburg South)

The Factory Manager will oversee manufacturing operations and production of granite products.

• Tertiary qualification in related discipline such as manufacturing or engineering preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in manufacturing management software.
• Proficiency in accounting software (quickbooks, pastel or similar).
• Extensive knowledge of granite processing, fabrication techniques and machinery operation.
• 8-10 years of manufacturing experience in granite or concrete or similar, with minimum of 5 years at management level in manufacturing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills - fluency in English required.

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Develop and implement efficiencies in production schedules to meet delivery deadlines and quality expectations.
• Manage resource allocation (materials and workforce) to optimise production output.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the factory environment.
• Coordinate with design and sales teams to align manufacturing processes with product specifications.
• Staff management including recruitment and training, development and performance evaluation.
• Prepare and manage factory budget, closely monitoring costs.
• Maintain machinery and equipment for reliability and high operational availability.
