What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

You’ll take charge of the compliance framework, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. From resolving client complaints to maintaining key registers and fit-and-proper queries, your ability to keep systems streamlined and efficient will be vital. You’ll be instrumental in refining processes, policies, and procedures, conducting compliance audits, and managing compliance manuals. As the role evolves, you’ll take on more operational responsibilities, reporting directly to the directors and managing staff while driving excellence across the board.

 

Where you’ll be doing it

Our client is a boutique wealth manager operating across Cape Town, London, and Istanbul. With decades of international expertise in investment management and corporate finance, they deliver personalized services to high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients. The team prides itself in fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and unwavering client focus in a supportive and fast-paced environment. You will be fully office based in professional offices in Sea Point, Cape Town.

 

What you’ll need

To excel in this role, you’ll need a completed BCom degree in Law, Finance, or Accounting, along with at least 5 years of compliance and operations experience in the financial services sector (preferably asset, investment or wealth management). Proficiency in FICA, FAIS, and related legislation, coupled with strong communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills, is essential. Your ability and potential to step into a management role will be highly advantageous.
