Our client in the steel industry is urgently looking to employ an experienced Quality Manager at their organization

Location: Wynberg, Sandton

Requirements:

Certificate in Quality Management
5+ years of experience in a similar role
Knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes and characteristics as well as specific actions relating to ISO 9001: 2015
CAD and CAM knowledge and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Computer skills including Outlook, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
ERP Software a plus

Responsibilities:

Monitoring the production process to make sure that all products meet consistent quality standards.
Developing and implementing quality control tests, inspecting products at various stages and writing reports documenting production issues.
To stop or suspend production if quality requirements are not achieved.
Ensure internal quality standards and quality from external suppliers.
Ensure that processes needed for the Quality Management System (QMS) are established, implemented and maintained.
Monitor, document and track quality issues.
Hands on assessment of quality from design to delivery.
Working according to deadlines for the delivery of products.
Tracking products through the manufacturing process to identify deviations from quality standards.
Manage non-conformance and corrective action processes.
Perform routine and non-routine quality inspections.
